Our 12oz bag comes in traditional drip ground, whole bean, and specialty grinds. $5 from every bag purchased supports the Joliet, IL chapter of Pink Heals. Guatemala:

Our signature product, 100% single-origin Arabica coffee sourced from the Atitlán region of Guatemala. Shade grown in rich volcanic soil, our coffee is produced and harvested at an ideal altitude of 5,200-6,000 ft. Roasted at a light, medium, or dark level, this coffee has tasting notes of cocoa, citrus, peach, berries, slight floral, and caramel.

 

Colombia:

100% single-origin sourced from the Cauca region in Colombia. We work with Cafe Santa Rosa through North Central College to bring you this full-washed and sun-dried bean. This coffee has tasting notes of chocolate, sweet caramel, and brown sugar.

 

About the roast names:

All of the roasts are named after the various Pink Heals' vehicles which are in honor of brave fighters near and dear to their organization. 

 

Who lives, Who dies, Who tells your story - Hamilton the Musical 

These vehicles do. They tell the stories & keep the flames of 4 outstanding women. These vehicles are living legacies of women who made a difference, who have incredible stories, whose families who would love to talk about them and all they did to inspire others.

 

Light | Addison

Addison was a typical loving, energetic six-year-old who loved everything about life, until about the first week of March 2012 when she started showing signs that something wasn't right. She was diagnosed with liver cancer and fought bravely. Some treatments worked and some didn’t. On Friday, July 19th, 2013 Addison passed away in her home surrounded by her parents and grandparents. Addison’s legacy still lives on as she has inspired more people than a tiny seven-year-old could ever know. Learn more about Addison here.

 

Medium | Kris

My crazy journey started on Monday, January 5th 2009. I went to the ER that morning after my husband Shaun dropped off our 2 boys at school!!! Needless to say, I knew what was about to transpire and my poor Shaun didn’t have a clue!!! We got to the hospital and got back into a room and everything was out in the open there!!!  We were told that I had breast cancer…stage 4 and it didn’t look good!!! Read the rest of Kris' story here. Our “QUEEN” of Pink Heals Joliet Area Chapter, Kris, passed away at the young age of 46, on March 4, 2015. Her beautiful smile, amazing attitude and loving spirit will live on forever.

 

Dark | Michelle

Michelle was initially diagnosed in August of 2014 with Stage 2b Breast Cancer, Michelle opted for the treatment route of a double mastectomy, followed by chemo, radiation & reconstruction. All was well and good until she found another lump in late July of 2018 and was diagnosed again that August with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. In the 2 years since the metastatic diagnosis, Michelle has undergone numerous radiation treatments and a few chemo protocols. Michelle loved dark coffee so we naturally had to name the dark roast, Michelle. Learn more about Michelle here. 

 

Decaf | Tina

Our beautiful Tina was a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who touch so many lives. Tina was diagnosed with Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer in May 2008 at the age of 46, she lost her battle on March 8, 2010 at age 48. Learn more about Tina here.
